    Feather duster help

Thanks, I will try the sand. I am just afraid of the other things picking on or eating it. He does move both day and night, but the face looks nothing like when he first lost his crown.

    Feather duster help

I purchased a large feather duster that arrived on 11/25. By the 27th he had no crown left (heard that is usual). Kept seeing my fancy nassarius snails on him, and moved him higher. Now it looks like he has no face and just bobs in and out of his tube. Is he dying or can I save him? Please help...

    Sand issue

O.K. I will try the conch and the additional pump, but I am also wondering if I just have too much sand. I have about 25 pounds (almost 3 inches). Additional thoughts? I have tried to get pics from the digital camera to this post , and I guess I'm just to stupid. Still trying.

    Sand issue

I have an 800 RIO pump for the 15 Gal. tank. I also dont know if a conch would be too big for that size tank. My parameters have consistantly stayed the same. ammonia-0, nitrites-0, nitrates-40/80, Ph-8.2 (does drop every couple of months to 7.8) then add buffer. Any thoughts?

    Sand issue

My tank has been up for over a year, and my sand will not stay white. I have 12 nassarius snails (15 Gal.) but the sand is always red-brown. I do 10% water changes 2-3 times per week. I have heard not to siphen the sand so I don't during changes. How do I get my sand clean? Please help!

    settings for wave maker?

A friend just gave me a natural wave timer for my pump. It can be set from 20 second intervals to 6 minutes alternating turning off and on. For a 12 gall. nano what would you guys suggest for settings, or would you even suggest using it on a nano? Do they really help? Thanks.`

I ordered mine online for $90. It came with everything for the tank. It also came with a one year waranty. I did have to upgrade the pump and lights though.

Here is my 7 month old tank. I think it's comming along. Quick question about a hitchhiker. Looks like a 1 inch snail with no shell, that blows spores or something out of tubes beside his head. Can never get a picture, any ideas what it is or if it's bad?
