    Reef Octopus BH-1000

If you make the sump where it is tall enough to accommodate the Octopus i don't see why not.

    Reef Octopus BH-1000

You will get the hang of it, it looks like you have it figured out already. Too much water raise it up,. Also what i did with mine is i took it apart and every connection i used teflon tape to guarantee it wont leak. It is most likely NOT necessary but i rather be on the safe side. And you know...

    Reef Octopus BH-1000

Yours is set up correctly, if you used the sponges on the left side you will NOT get any micro bubbles, or just a few if any. These skimmers really run great, super quiet and get the job done.

    New to Salt 75 Gallon

I am in your same position and here is what i have done so far. I got the REEF OCTOPUS BH 2000, I added a AC 110, Even though i have a spare EHEIM PRO3 E I decided against it from what many have said here about canister filters and saltwater set ups. I have 2 Koralia 2750 coming in 2 days for...

    DIY 350 gallon Saltwater Lagoon

Now this has got to be one of the coolest things ever. I LOVE IT. Reminds me when i was a kid living in P.R. And swimming out to the shallow reefs and watching the fish standing up on the reefs.....Very good idea here and most EXCELLENT.

Also try feeding it octopus, when i was keeping eels years ago they could NOT resist it, you can buy it at your local fish market. Cut a piece and and use whatever tool you use to feed it and present it right in front, he will grab it.

    Advice on New Setup

Don't forget an RO unit, this will be the single best investment next to a skimmer. I am also in the process of starting a new 75 gallon FOWLR and i have decided on the REEF OCTOPUS BH2000 HB skimmer and a AC 110, this along with the live sand and live rock will be plenty for now. If all goes...

    Glass top question.

So i am about to get a 75 going FOWLR tank. I probably am going to go bare bottom although i am not 100% sure on that. My question is, since this is not a reef set up but FOWLR, can i keep the aqueon glass top on the 75? Reason i ask is that i already have them, but i have noticed that many...

    Reef Octopus BH-1000

I just ordered the BH2000 along with an AC 110 for my new 75 gallon which i am making into a FOWLR tank. This will be my re-intro into saltwater world. I own a 90 gallon Malawi cichlid tank and a 180 gallon Frontosa tank. If all goes well for a year i may convert my 90 gallon as well to...

Setting up a new 75 gallon FOWLR.

I have decided on the eshopps 150CS Wet/Dry. I know its a little over kill but for just a mere 20 dollars more than the 125CS to me appears like a no brainer, besides the 125CS is on back order. I Have not ordered just yet, so if anyone has an thoughts on this wet/dry neg or positive please...

Setting up a new 75 gallon FOWLR.

I don't mind a WET/DRY, what would you recommend for a 75? Also i am assuming it will still be a hangover the back style to send water down and i will still be able to use the magdrive 950 for water return. NO?

Setting up a new 75 gallon FOWLR.

I am in the process of setting up an empty 75 gallon with FOWLR, i have had saltwater fish tanks before, but that was about 15 years ago. My one question is what filter would you recommend? I DO NOT want any type of corals. The tank is NOT drilled and i DO NOT want to drill it, i am thinking...
