these were taken with a nikon d40 and old manual focus 50mm lens and a 27.5mm extension tube to get closer, also an off camera flash from the top mostly. from the 250 shots these are the ones that came out in focus...

its only a d40 with the kit lens using aperture priority at iso 1600 exposure time 1/15 and f4.5... i took probably close to 70 pictures with different setting and this seems to work well for the crab ... i'm still trying to get just the right setting for the fish...if anyone...

Well i have a bursa trigger he is about 2.5in, and i was hoping to add some crabs to help with the mess the trigger makes, going with a larger crabs like the scarlet seems like a good idea, does anyone have experiance with similar pair... i did have a strawberry crab in there...

well this might seem like a silly question but i must ask, what metals if any would be ok for the fish, the iron would rust and so on, i don't mind the rust but will the fish mind it? and if not iron how about copper, silver, and so on
