2-3 times a day isn't too much? i read every other day, i was having an algae problem seemed to be from overfeeding, switched to once and problem eventually went away.

i jus noticed this on one of my clowns. The top of the fin seems to be disappearing and it seems like scales have been scrapped off above the eyes on both of my fish. any reasons why this could be happening? i feed once a day hikari flake and marine-s mostly and occasionaly frozen mysis shrimp...

lr would be great but i live in hawaii so i cant buy any lr... thanks all for the advice i guess ill hold out on the skimmer for now.

can anybody that's familiar with the salifert ammonia test tell me what color the water is when the ammonia levels are zero? should it be clear? all im getting is white. i really appreciate the help :)

im using the salifert ammonia test...my question is, what color should it be when the lvl is at or near 0? i tested my water before putting it in and the test showed up clear. is this what im looking for? i am still seeing a cloudy white. thanks in advance :)

thanks jonthefishguy for the detailed explanation. so it appears that i may have never actually finished my cycle. i dont have and cant get live rock so thats not an issue for me. so i looks like i will wait until my ammonia and nitrites are at zero. in the mean time i have no clean up crew and...

i do 20% water change at least every month. should i do 10% every 2 weeks? i've been feeding more carefully, but if i was overfeeding wouldn't ammonia and nitrites be higher too..?
