i have no idea what the proper way of handling that is, but that is scary stuff. Did it hurt when you got electrocuted? Do you have a smaller tank? Maybe you can fill a 10 gallon and test each one. Maybe throw a bug in there, see if he gets electrocuted!! haha, idk. There has to be some device...

I only have a 29 gallon. 700gph reduced to 500 would be too much turnover.... I thought a 500gph pump reduced to about 300 would be perfect.

I'm trying to convert from a hang on filter to a sump or wet/dry below my tank... I've been looking at pumps that are rated for 500gph. What does everyone use or recommend???? Anyone use Quiet One Pumps??? Is it worth going the cheaper route? OR should I just buy the Mag Drive 500gph pump?

I've been using a Emperor 280 on my 29 gallon SALTWATER aquarium for over a year and a half... Just depends on what kind of maintenance you do. I clean mine about once a month because over time it slows down as far as water flow is concerned, but a cleaning fixes that problem.

haha! yea, he was out and about yesterday, although i think he loves the rock work... So much surface area for that little guy to graze on.... He's freakin' cool.

I just got a six line wrasse yesterday and put him in my tank around 5 o'clock when my tank lights are off... When the tanks lights came on, he disappeared. I didn't see him once while the lights were on.... How long will it take him to adjust? is he gonna hide in my rock work all the time???

How many pounds of sand should I have for a 29 gallon tank? Or how many inches of sand does everyone have?

both.... she has had patches of worn away scales for a while... but they have gotten a lot worse since she got this pop eye... her pectoral fins also have the spots of fading.

it is looking like he is about to start sloughing them off... although i'm not really sure. They are like faded and its making her look old. I'm not really sure how to describe them.

I'm the one with the clown that had the pop eye and the weird patches of worn scales on him... Now it looks like he is starting to slime and she has other spots on her.... I think she may have infected the male too so I have them both in the QT tank.

I just recently put my sick clownfish in a QT tank and have been dosing it with pimafix/melafix but that ---- doesn't. Have been dosing that for 3 days. Can I switch medications to Lifegaurd without doing a water change? Opinions please?

I have checked all of my tank parameters and the only thing that is out of whack is my pH. it is at about 8, maybe even 7.8. What could it be???

they are more faded... like aging??? i feed ocean nutrition marine pellets, and frozen mysis shrimp sometimes pumped up with Selcon...

my clown also has these patches of white behind his pectoral fins... They aren't little spots but they have gotten bigger because of the stress with his eye... He still eats and is very alert.

If I do purchase the Maracyn 2 should I get powder or tablet form???? Or does it not matter???
