Is this growth on my live rock good or bad? The live rock has been in my tank for about a month. There’s about 40lbs of rock. I don’t leave the lights on often, I leave the white led light on from 10am-7pm, then a blue moonlight from 7pm-12am. I turn all lights off after that until 10am.

There’s 3 of them, they’re eating well, and I haven’t noticed any aggression, I just got them yesterday. Apparently sometimes they get those spots at night time because they like to camouflage. I hope that, that’s the case and it isnt a disease.

I know they’re bottom feeders but I haven’t seem him eat at all, there are left over pellets and maybe some flakes at the bottom. But he never swims up during feeding time. I expect that since he’s a sand sifter he’ll never go higher than like an inch off the sand.

Should I try not feeding the tank at all for a few days or maybe I could just not feed them frozen for a few days?

good stock, just remember that when you put substrate and decor/rocks in, your 10 gallons will actually be less than 10 gallons. You don’t want to overcrowd your tank because then thr fish will get stressed. 1inch of fish for every gallon!
