What are some good choices in purchasing a good thermometer and a heater? Im not talkin about something that I will have to replace in a few months. Something reliable and worth buying. Thoughts?

Im currently shopping for a wet/dry filter. So far the aqua pro 150 is looking good but my skimmer might not fit. Is it ok to go with a bigger wet/dry? What are some problems you might have with going bigger/smaller than whats rated for your tank?

Anyone know of some good Skimmers for a 125g FOWLR and possibly a reef?

It was suggested that I would need about 260 watts of light for my 125 gallon (dimensions 60x18x24) which I plan on having FOWLR and just one single bubble coral. I ran into this chart that has its own reccomendations in which the wattage is ALOT higher. Ill post the specs for my size tank ...

Quick question...do you still have to cycle your tank even if you have LS and LR wrapped in wet newspaper straight from the lfs? In reading some posts it seems if you put in LS with uncured LR then you're just wasting money becuase of the ammonia spikes that might kill off the bacteria in LS...
