I'm getting ready to order a new tank 36 x 24 x 17. What would be a good way to drill a closed loop with a 2000 gph pump. My idea so for was having 2 holes drilled in each back bottom back wall corner, then 3 return lines in a triange. 2 holes in back and one in the middle. Any good idea's?

If you have a tank 17inchs tall and the standard wave2k unit is 17inchs tall, Could this work? Would it overflow the tank? I never seen this unit before. Thanks

One downfall I can think of is less flow with 2 holes drilled in the back vs the overflow box. There's always a chance a snail of fish could block the hole and cause your tank to overflow.

Individual reflectors are better for intensity but how deep is your tank? If your tank is under 18inchs, go with the cheaper nova extreme. You can still keep anything alive with the nova extreme if it's a shallow tank.

I've been using epson salt for over a year now with no ill effects. I only dose 2 cups a week every Saturday to top off water, disolve with a powerhead and slowly add to tank over the following week. I've thought about purchasing magnesium but I'm too cheap.

I have a Refractometer. The salinity has varied from 2 days time. It reads .25 then 2 days later it reads .23 why? I do not have a leak, water level stays constant but can the refractometer change readings due to heat? It has been extremly hot here in So Cal. I just recalabrated the refractometer.

It looks like the same design as ASM skimmer. Plug it in and set the riser tube to appropriate / desired foam results. You don't want the riser tube submerge.
