I gotta change a few things w/ my tank. I started with crushed coral for a base finding out now that it wasn't the right thing to do. I'm having trouble fighting nitrite and can't get it under control. So this weekend we're gonna get some livesand. How much is advised for a 55 gal. "long" ? Also...

he looked fine at the store, even for about a day here. i aclimated him for an hr. put him in an icecream pale then slowly added my water just like the prcedure shown on this site. all the other critters seem fine and healthy. could it been too much stress? the store had him less than a day...

bought it friday. was listing to his side a bit yesterday, found him this morning upside down. i turned him rightside up and he is still "breathing" sadly i dont have a quarantine tank or i'ld have him moved. list of other critters: 2 damsels 1 clown 3 mollies 1 choc. star 1 hermit

Well i have the tank full salt added now it's time to wait ...."sigh" I purchased the following, 30# of crushed coral Elite hush 55 filter Elite 300 watt heater thats 'bout it so far. added the salt and its at 1.024 at the moment plus added my chlorine killing stuff. fish guy said for me to wait...

sepulation: i figured i would get all that stuff when i pick the tank up. but no we havent picked anything out at the moment.

I'm picking up the tank and all the stuff t oget it ready tomorrow I don't know any brand names. But know I'll be getting all I need to get the tank ready for critters. Oh and my likes.... I would prefer anything that kills its prey! But .... it's not all for me I'll have to do a tank for...
