i have sump but i dont have refugium. i heard that if u turn on light at refugium the opposite with tank light, it will mantain the ph.. but it will work with sump as well or no ?? thanks

yesterday night, i check the temperature.. almost 90 degre do you think if i put the fan inside the stand would help? and some guy at LFS told me that probably i need to put some uv light cause when the temperature to hot , it actualy the reason algae out break.. and one more thing.. the tank...

i am helping my friend re-set up his tank.. his tank is 7 foot long tank. he use it for room divider. when i look at the tank, the sand and some of the rock is covered with brown algae.. tank speck.. 7 foot long tank < i think 160 gallon >, 2piece mj 1200 with mod at each side, have over flow...

i think its all depend.. a lot of people and my self always go back to halide for the way the tank look. some thing about the glitter that the halide make.. but for save money i think t5ho is better , cause not use so much electric... once again, i think...

if u see your sock inside your sump dirty, you replace it or just rinse with water? mine, i rinse it but it still look dirty.. what sould i do? soak it with vinegar?

its asterina star fish for sure.. i take out as much posible but that star fish multiply like crazy.. every time i see them wrap their tentacles around the polyp, as soon they moved, the zoa just look funny. and the next day the polyp just melted. some zoa they are not touch, like neon green...

any of you guys have similar problem like me? i have alot of asterina star fish that attacking my zoa.. i know that harlequin shrimp gonna eat that star fish but it will wipe out all the star fish in my tank too. any sugestion needed.. thanks
