If they survuve or not will depend upon the difference in SG between the shop and the tank. Big difference = long acclimatisation, no difference = short acclimatisation. To make sure it lives then do a long acclimatisation, i take 3 hours for these cos I have found them especially sensitive.

I think they are called spaghetti worms or Medusa worms, I have a few that sound just like yours.

I try and feed mine when it is a certain part of the tank so that the water flow will move the food close to it. They are fun to watch but have got to be the dumbest fish there is.

Update - I have been told this is a Lobophora variegata otherwise known as brown wafer algae. Apparently it can become a pain and can be peeled off, but havn't tried it yet.

Do they keep growing or stop once at a certain size or disapear, or are you waiting to see what happens,

I've only had mine a few months but I am told they have a life span of 3 years in captivity.

Can anyone tell me what this might be, it appears to be growing over the top of the purple coralline as you can see the layered edge. It is about 1/2 inch and growing. :eek: When i rubbed it with my finger it did not come off. Thanks.
