    Galaxea Coral Loosing Polyps

I had this happen to my galaxia awhile ago. It turned about to be in too high of flow. Once we moved the powerhead, all the flesh and polyps came back within a month.

    5.5 gallon pico journal!!!

That is so sad! Small side note, I have a 12g nano with baby bangaii, a sexy shrimp, a pompom crab, and nassarius snails. The pompom has yet to harm anything. He is awesome.

    KAT74's 29g Biocube Diary

K- Do you still have your possum wrasse? What is your opinion on them? I was thinking about getting one for my 65g. But everyone tells me they are very shy & that I would either never see it or the other fish would bully it. I have a 12g nano that is currently empty. I can't decide whether to...

New Additions: 2 Blue Reef Chromis These arrived today and will be living in the QT until June. There is no light in the cabinet the QT is housed in right now. I will either be adding an LED strip or the PC currently over my sump. I would rather add the PC & use it as a frag tank sometimes. But...

    ID this coral please

Do you know what caused yours to die? I am assuming mine was due to the shrimp & crabs. But I've read they can be particular to light & flow. Although neither of mine had changed when it closed up. So far only one person has responded locally. It is a different variety than they one I had...

I love my bubble coral. I have a metal hallide light, and after it turns off the bubble deflates a little. It also deflates when I feed it. I also had a emerald crab pick at it's skeleton, and actually did pick pieces off. But other than that, no problems. Every other day I feed it (and the rest...

    ID this coral please

Well, I won't be posting another picture because like I said earlier, that frag unfortunately died after being aggravated by shrimps & crabs. I was looking for an ID so I can find/buy another. But the blossoms were that same nice blue-purple when they were extended as they were in that picture...

    ID this coral please

Hi, I bought a frag of a cool coral awhile ago. I asked the name, but the guy just said to "treat it like xenia." It is definately NOT xenia though, at least not the ugly brown kind, or pompom. Anyway, my sexy shrimp started hosting it, then an electric blue hermit pulled the rock it was...

Do I have enough water flow?

Thanks for the quick replies! We do have a bubble trap after the input section, but not before the return section. We ran out of room. We will be adding a partial baffle in the middle to break up the water flow through the refugium a little more. Evaporation is also a bit of a problem right...

Do I have enough water flow?

Hey, I am wondering if I have enough water flow in my tank. I believe I do, but thought I'd check. It is a 65 gallon tank with an overflow, and a 15 gallon sump. The return pump from the sump is a ViaAqua 3300 (1,000gph). I have 2 main powerheads, a Koralia 2 (600gph) & a Koralia 3 (850gph). I...
