I have a green brittle star and it is docile. It will not come out during the day (unless it's feeding time) but is active at night. The star has left all my fish alone and has since I got it about 3 months ago. That may be due to me spot feeding it twice a week.

I hatched a brown banded bamboo in April. After a few days I started to feed her shrimp and silversides but she wouldn't go for it. I then introduced some chopped baby octopus and to this day she goes nuts over it and still will not touch the shrimp or silversides.

I'm with you srfisher17...I also like the wild strains better.

Hi howiet4702, I got the same skimmer and know what you mean on the intstructions. Did your skimmer come half assembled? It is pretty much like the drawing in the paper that came with the skimmer.

I got an octopus HOB and it works great. Had it for about two weeks now and it produces skimmate every one to two days.

+1 on octopus. I bought one and hooked it up this past week. It has been skimming like mad. It is a hang on back model 100ss. I don't know how I was doing it without one.

According to my pops (78...im 26) things have certainly changed. But as someone said earlier things are more open now. My pops always talks about the good old days. But one thing I keep in mind is that today and tomorrow might be the "good ol days" later on.
