    hair alage/ live rock

Dude I battled the evil algae for 6 months...don't give up! I finally eradicated it (but not before it smothered my fav frogspawn to death). Here's what I did for my 29 biocube: I bought about 10 mexican turbos, 20 margaritas, 2 tiger snails and 3 electric blue hermits to bolster my cleaning...

    First SWT 29g biocube question

My CB shrimp and my blood shrimp both molt once every 2-3 weeks or so (they are both HUGE). I never take out the shells and it has never caused me any problems... My cuc usually has them ground down before lights come on the following day. Your tank looks beautiful btw! Very nicely done!

    Maroon Clown Hosting a Brain?

Welp, my coral hasn't fully come out since the clowns cuddling started:( It doesn't look raw or damaged yet. I ordered a 4" RBTA that will be here in the morning... I figured I'd better get one now and let it settle in before my clown beats my brain to mush...

    Maroon Clown Hosting a Brain?

I was under the impression the stock lights in a biocube were not sufficient to keep an anemone alive... and that an anemone could wreck havok on my coral (few that I have)...

    Maroon Clown Hosting a Brain?

Ok my maroon clown has started nestling in and on my new open brain coral. he seems very gentle but the coral still retracts a bit (not all the way)... Will the clowns nesting hurt it? I only have a 29g Bio so an anemone is kinda out...

    Bio29 question

Hey guys! I have a quick question. I just won a 6 month battle with hair algae. I now run a Poly-Filter pad over the bioballs in the 2nd chamber and my tank looks great. I stopped using the biocube carbon filters because I felt they restricted water flow even after fully opening the pathway...

    waiting..... is this ok?

Twenty lbs of live rock is not enough... I had 30 in my 29Bio and it looked a little barren. I have 45 or 50 now. The advantage that you do have, though, is that if you find a nice big mushroom rock or a large colony of something, you have plenty of room. I have had a Flame angel in mine for 4...

    Oceanic Biocube Help

The # is 1-800-255-4527. From my (unfortunately extensive) experience, they only seem to have 1 secretary (who is a biatch) and WILL NOT call back. I spent a week getting one of their two warranty people to talk to me. I had better luck getting the personal e-mail addy for one of the guys from...

    new aquascape???

Ok, I would turn the bottom left rock counter clockwise and move it as far left as you can and still leave swimming room. make sure (if you can) that the back is gaped a bit from the back wall. This should leave you with a huge cave in the middle. Try and make sure there is swimming room between...

    McCosker's Flasher Wrasse ?

Wow, you have an absolutely beautiful tank Scopus. Your wrasses are gorgeous. How big are yours? I have read that they get to be around 2". I have the stock Biocube lid with the back overflow blocked with some gutter-guard. I will buy the upgraded gutter-guard with the mesh built in and replace...

    McCosker's Flasher Wrasse ?

Hey Guys! Has anyone had any experience with a McCosker's Flasher Wrasse in their nano? I recently lost my dragon goby (I messed up and didn't ask to see it eat at the store... took it home and could not get it to eat anything) and gave away one of my blue green chromis. To replace the two, I...
