I'm having the same thing happening with my 24g nano. I used new sand and lr from my 90g. I haven't seen an ammonia or nitrate spike yet and it's been 3 weeks.

IME the sailfert test kits are the easiest to use with the most accurate readings. Pick up a master kit and start testing at least twice a week, if not more often. It's the best investment you'll ever make in your tank. Not knowing what's going on in there can be deterimental. Whatever you get...

we have room in our basement, or rather, we can make room in there. However, I'd prefer to have a tank that size that's filled with SPS in the main part of the house so we can at least enjoy it.

From my understanding, you can ship Fed Ex without problem. SWF ships that way.
