I got a yellow tang from my lfs. They had it for about a month and looked good when i got it. Now it has ich really bad. It is eating like a pig and is active. What is the best way to treat it. Do a copper treatment in a med. tank or leave it and lower the salinity?
I have triedd that before with other fish and it didnt do anything. My lsf said to try the copper but i am worried it might stress it out moving to from tank to tank if it might not be needed.

I first thought it was the water so i went from place to place and found water that didnt have any ammonia in it. I tested the water before i put it in the tub and left it in the tub over night then i tested it again before i added salt and then added the salt, left it over night again and...
To start with
trits are at 0
ph is at 8
ammonia is at .5
I am having an ammonia problem and I have had a problem finding where its comming from. At first I thought something dead in my tank but wasnt missing anything and if that would be the case the ammonia would have gone down in the two...
I have had my 55 up for almost a year. All I test for is amonia nitrates and nitrites. Is this all I should test for? After reading some threads I see that there is more things to test for.
Here is what I did. I did a 10% water change everyother day and I used a hose to suck the water out and as I was sucking out the water I would suck out the red slime also. Part of your problem is there is to much nutriants in the water so reducing the feedings is a good idea. It only took about...
You have alot of room in there if you only have thoes three fish in there. You could try some firefish or wrase. Do you have any corals? There are reef safe and not reef safe wrase. Just a thought.
thank you. That has to one of the best posts I think I have ever seen. There is so much in that ont that I am going to have to read it about twenty times to soak it all up. Not just post 8 either. AWESOME!!!
I know you can make your own food from sea food for human consumption but I dont know what is the best kind to use. Can anyone help? And is this better or worse then frozen foods you get from your LFS?
I tested nitrates, nitrites, amonia, ph, and salt levels. I just did a water change 3 days ago. Could this be a criter or a disease? But would a criter affect all colonies at the same time?
My zoos are all closed up and have been for about two weeks. I have done a water change and tested the water. The amonia is a little high but nothing else seems to be bothered. I dont know what to do. HELP?
I know this is a stupid question to ask because of where im asking it at but i am looking for a new variety of corals to add to my tank but saltwater has a very limited selection to choose from and so does the lfs. Does anyone know of a reputible vender online that would have different corals to...
