have you checked your dk level. I dont go by ph anymore. I have never had to use ph buffer just stay on top of your water changes and the dk level will fix itself. everything you need is in the rocks and the salt. good luck

spent about 6 hours doing some long needed maint. i found a tool that peels xenia right off the rock and i have a bunch. I took about 30 plugs to my lfs and i have lots more.

you can put a tooth pick through the base and ruber band it around each end (leather) thats what i do. it seems if i dont they come off the plug. zoos are easy after you do your first one. I always use a dremel tool when i can and just cut the rock. If it is on a larger rock peeling it is ok.
