    Biology class aquarium??

Corals and fish? Nano would be limited to certain gobies/blennies and clowns. Angler fish usually require a little bit larger tank, but I've seen them sitting in small 3 gallons at fish stores. I would go with a deeper/mixed sand bed. Get a yellow-head Jawfish and a green clown Goby. As far as...

    Tiger Jawfish/Jawfish ??

After hitting the 4 fish stores on Monday, I finally found what I was looking for. Tiger Jawfish - Opistognathus sp. He is about 3 inches long. Immediately began digging his burrow. Within a few hours it was complete. After 24 hours, he decided to change spots. Now he is in a stupid location...

IMO, something i find very annoying...

You can always re-scape! You will have to eventually. My favorite rock formation in a simple sketch. It really depends on what type of rock you have, but this is the basic idea. 1. Base of formation 2. Second level 3. Top Creates a big cave with 4 large entrances, and many small. Close 2-3...

how often to feed... and how much?

Nothing is wrong with feeding your fish twice a day. I would encourage it. Some fish act much differently if you feed them 2-3 times daily. They will swim around more, looking for food, because they expect it. Just make sure you do not overfeed. Good luck with the breeding!

Red Slime algae... HOw do i get rid of it?

I agree with Mr. DC, you should cut back on lighting or change your bulbs if they are old. Cyano is a versatile algae that will use photosynthesis, and feed off of nitrates, phosphates etc. to grow. Cut back on feeding and liquid organic additives. Some critters eat Cyano. I have a Halloween...

    Weird bubbles on my Xenia

Is that pulsating Xenia? I've had Xenia in my tank for about a week. I'm going to shove a rock into it and see if I can get the same results.

    My 60 gallon tank

I would agree with srfish that only one dwarf angel should be in the tank. Also, I would only put one clown in. Mix up your stocklist. Maybe add a wrasse, goby or blenny.

    Question

Pods are naturally on your rocks. When your tank cycles, it usually kills most of them off. After awhile the population increases. My MH light has a fan built in. My tank is also open top, so the air doesn't get trapped near the surface of the water.

    My 30g

Here are some Mccosker's flasher wrasse pics. Juv/female. Sorta looks like a filament wrasse. I believe it is turning male. I notice the Dorsal fin has a small flare that is a bit longer than normal. It also seems to have yellow on its sides and underbelly. It was in my LFS tank for over a month...

    Wrasse Question

My concern was not bio-load it was territory. This is my 2nd fish. Doing very well. Sleeps in the same barnacle every night. Next to my fire shrimp. Eats well. For some reason I'm having troubles uploading a picture. I'll try again later.

    natural light supplement?

I have a 30g next to a south facing window. The curtain is mostly closed. I make sure just enough light gets in at sunrise/sunset to ease the fish in and out of my metal halides. My zoas begin opening before I turn my lights on. When I cycled my tank, I let the sun hit the entire tank directly...
