    If its red or brown algae the product of choice is ANTIRED. Which workd well and doesnt hurt fishies and corals. If its green well thats a bit harder as its usually due to high phospahte levels. I scrub my rock now and then when I see it. otherwise us a phosphate adsorber for some short term...

    there's that good medicine stuff for RED algae that works real well on Brown algae as well. ANTIRED BY Aqualine germany is the stuff (just went out and found it.) 1-2 days all gone with no harm to corals and fish Cheers, David

    Hey hey Susan welocome to the fun of a SW aquarium. Firstly with addition of LR Your tank WILL cycle (I'm sure you know but to make sure.... first 2 weeks ammonia will slowly rise and then reduce followed by 2 weeks of nitrate then the tank will be ready for stock. TEST TO MAKE SURE AS TIMES...

    Take it easy man, My new tank 440 Litres 45 Kg LR and 8+ ppm AMONIA!!!! at day 11.... check for NO3 if its starting to rise your about half way through the cycle ( Its always 4-5 weeks either way).. Cheers
