    Go to lfs and ask them for a bag full of that crap at the bottom of the live rock holding tanks. All the broken live rock rubble that nobody wants.....they give it to me for free. It full of critters and good stuf and I mix it with my live sand..later

    Quickrete Play Sand is fine for tank?

    I've used quikcrete playsand with great success for over a year. Home depot in Florida doesn't carry it anymore nor do they carry Southdown. They carry a playsand from BONSAI. I have no idea if this is anygood...has anyone used it?

    Has anyone used this service from Advanced Aquatics to get their tank started without the usual 6 week cycle? I know I've started new tanks in the past by using cultured bioballs from an estasblished tank but I don't know if they will survive the transport?
