Today I came across many large bright YELLOW sabea anenomes in my local lfs. The owner of the shop had just gotten them in from a distributor in Miami or Tampa. According to an article in a recent large aquatic publication...any yellow anenomes for sale have been dyed with tetracycline...

Go to lfs and ask them for a bag full of that crap at the bottom of the live rock holding tanks. All the broken live rock rubble that nobody wants.....they give it to me for free. It full of critters and good stuf and I mix it with my live sand..later

I've used quikcrete playsand with great success for over a year. Home depot in Florida doesn't carry it anymore nor do they carry Southdown. They carry a playsand from BONSAI. I have no idea if this is anygood...has anyone used it?

the lfs guy said he uses Marine tank Clarifier to remove hair algea from the tanks he services. He says it doesn't say anything on the bottle about gettin rid of unwanted algea but insists it works. anybody use this stuff to get rid of that greem nasty? the product is from Coralife
