tanks guys I do have tank covered in glass with lights sitting on top. I will have to rig up a temp thing untill hubby builds me a canopy, there is no heater in the tank so I imagine the heat is coming from the lights.

my tank is at 86 now today its going to be 86 outside how can i lower the temp? cant afford chiller right now

I notice sonetimes that it has this brown mucus type stringy stuff coming out of its mouth this does not happen everyday but at least once a week. my question is what is it? and will it harm tank?

I have this gonapora it has this worm on it it looks like little beads put together and very long I was just watching it and the worm goes inside the gonipora a little ways until it closes it shoot. is this a bad worm do I need to get him out of there ? also the gonipora is huge today cant see...

also what about changing boi balls would that have any thing to do with it?

went to lfs and had water tested they say there is a small trace of ammonia ,that I should just continue water changes .and shouldnt woory to much about it. ph is 8.2 nitrate and nitrite at o

sorry ph is at 8.2 not 7.2 will add another power head and see if that takes care of the film and will also take water sample in to have tested
