I highly doubt it is a tiger shark, if it is (i don't think they lay eggs) it must of been big money. ZYou probibly have a brownbanded bamboo.

I have in my tank a blue line, male blue jaw, niger, and clown and all is good. Many people say you cant mix triggers, but I found out how to mix them. Basically you need many caves, or other territorys in your tank (so a large tank is needed) so the triggers will not fight for territories...

I agree with the banners. But if your hooked on the idol only get it from your best lfs. I don't recommend one from the internet due to the fact it's not eating. Befoe buying it, only get it if it is eating, no disease and is fat. Only due this when buying one, but even if you find one like that...

Like jim said, smoothhounds get 4 feet, but are always swiiming so they need much larger tamks. In your tank (the bamboo and coral cat), you can also get a lot of other sharks. There is a wide variety of them but these two are the most frequently available, other examples are marbled cat sharks...

Black Durgeons (a.k.a hawaiian blacks) are excellent triggers, they get 9 in, are nice (for trigger). Clown Triggers are awesome fish but get large (your 175 is big enough) and are really mean. They usually aren't as mean as babys but then when turning into adults watchout.

he fights with my clown trigger every now and then. But besides that he is very peaceful. Right now hes in a 55, BUT the yare all small and are moving in my 250 gallon tank within a week or two. The filtration is good, and the readings are excellent.
