This guy use to live in a hole in my rock. I haven't been able to get a decent picture of it until today, when he moved out of the hole. Anyone know what it is? i have been feeding it bits of mysid shrimp, he grabs it with his tentacles and brings it in to the mouth in the middle. It is about 1...

Wow, that is a great picture! The body looks exactly the same, but the claws definitely do not. I will try and get a better picture, but he rarely comes out of the rocks. I know there are thousands of different kinds of crabs out there. I will just keep watching him and make sure he behaves...

He has hairy legs and the claws are black tipped and pointy.

This guy has been in my tank for about 6 months. He finally ventured out where I could get a good photo of him. I haven't had any mysterious deaths, am I lucky or is he a "good" crab? He is about the size of a quarter.

I looked up Flower Anemone and, while I never found any that look exactly like it, I think you are correct. They seem to come in a variety of colors. Thanks!

Sorry, that was the best picture I could get. It pretty much stays in that hole. A couple of times I have seen it exteneded, it is attached to the rock with a tube, similar to the way an aiptasia is attached. It reminds me of a sunflower when it is extended, the edges are kind ragged.

I posted this a while back. I now have a better picture of it, with the little appendages extended. You can see the size compared to the snail next to it. Some one said it is a Blue Ridge coral. Any other opinions?

This thing stays in the hole in this rock. It is about 1 1/2" in diameter. Anyone know what it is?

Does anyone know what this is? It is about 1" x 1/2". It will periodically sprout small Christmas tree like things, about 20 of them. It doesn't move, I am thinking it is some kind of coral.

Does the tank have any overflows built in? About how much are looking to get for it?
