When I added my southdown sand I made sure it was wet first and gradually added it to the water. The LFS advised me to do this way so that I wouldn't create a "sandstorm".

So just to be sure I understand what you are saying, Add fresh R/O water don't add salt?

If my water is evaporating, is it ok that I add?

Actually, it has already spiked higher than that. Now it's getting lower. I also plan to do a partial water change tonight.

Thanks. Im so excited. I'm not going to use damsels as introductory fish. Instead, I'm going to use chromis.

My tank is 95% complete with it's cycling. I'm cycling with supermarket shrimp and my ammonia was at a 1.5 yesterday. I have ls and marine sand in my tank also.

I was think of adding a couple of clownfish and maybe a few chromis. I haven't really decided on the rest. Which fish are compatible or non compatible with as far as a cleanup crew is concerned. I hope I'm not confusing anyone. Thanks.

I only have LS there. I've check my ammonia yesterday and it was .50. I'm using the tetra test kits. PH was 0, trites and trates were 0. Salinity was 1.014. I also want to add more sand. Any suggestions on how to do that since I've already filled the tank with water?
