I put some salt in the sump.....a few scoops in the main tank. I know that was not that great...but the sal was 1.008 that is like tap water. The temp is now 63 and rising....I have five heaters in the tank to bring that temp up. I will not add any more salt....wait and see what is going on...

I just called the company and they said that it is safe to add to a reef tank. Will not hurt corals, inverts, snails, starfish and any other beneficial bacteria in your tank. So I gave it a shot.....day one. We will see what happens this week. I am leary about the addition of this stuff...

If you remove the foam filters it increases the noise level.....just one thought. I have removed the foam and was forced to put it back in my overflow box. I have crafted a cover for my overflow box and that seems to work well. Just a FYI for you.
