    I put some salt in the sump.....a few scoops in the main tank. I know that was not that great...but the sal was 1.008 that is like tap water. The temp is now 63 and rising....I have five heaters in the tank to bring that temp up. I will not add any more salt....wait and see what is going on...

    silicone question

    I just used a tube of 100% silicone to make my sump. Will I have probems with the silicone I used. Will it kill the fish or inverts. It is a gutter 100% silicone. I needed a good deal of silicone to build a 65gal sump. Any suggestions would be great....btw...the sump is built and is drying...

    If you remove the foam filters it increases the noise level.....just one thought. I have removed the foam and was forced to put it back in my overflow box. I have crafted a cover for my overflow box and that seems to work well. Just a FYI for you.
