I noticed this morning that a couple of my fish fins were becoming
ragged..
And they are moving a little slower..
I dont think they were fighting were other fish..
The fins just appear very stringy..
My water tests have been ok..
Any ideas?
Thanks..
I have noticed the last few days I have all these tiny
little white critters all over my back glass..
They look like little hairy worms.. but very little..
Does anyone know what these might be.. ?
It also appears my fish are not doing as well as they use to
before these little critters were in...
Lots of my fish are dying..
I checked the water.. everything is normal..
I bought a fish a couple of weeks ago which
died after a week.. and then all the others started
dying.. They had ich.. and I added medication..
but did not help..
ANy ideas?
I just bought a beginners kit of bullseye mushrooms, button, hairy mushroom, and colony polyps..
How do I set them up in my tank.. On live rock or sand bed?
I just bought 3 feather dusters.. Is there a trick to attach thenm
to the live rock.. should I just kind of wedge them in.. or do i let
them just find a spot?
I just bought a Oriole fish I had it for the past few days..
It looks very healthy, but I dont see it eating.. It eats algae, but when i feed it brine shrimp and flake food,.. it does not eat it..
any ideas?or is that normal?
when doing a 15%-20% water change.. do i funnel the water from the top of the tank to not touch the sand bed.. or
should i do it at the bottom to clean the bed?
thanks for all your answers..
I just bought my first beauty of a fish.. a yellow tang.. I've
had him a couple of days and seems to be doing very well..
I'm hearing that tangs love lettuce.. how do you feed a tang lettuce?
2nd question-
i'm reading on these posts that a Fluval filter is not necessary if I have 70lbs live rock...
I have 2 powerheads in my 46 Gal Bow.. One is a maxijet 1200 and the other hagen 402..
I have them in each corner towards the back of the tank pointed diaginally towards middle front.. is that right? Is it to much water movement?
Should they be towards the top or bottom?
Thanks again!
I guess I'm running out of patience until my cycle completes.. :)
Its been 3 weeks since I started it..
My levels have come down very little.. Is there something I can do to speed it up?
Ok.. I just tested my levels..
My tank has been cycling for the past 2 1/2 weeks..
I have 65 lbs of LR
60 of of LS
1 damsel
3 snails
1 arrow crab
Levels-
PH-8.2
Ammonia- 0
Nitrite- .5
Nitrate- 15
When should I do a water change.. and if so, how much water should I change?
Thanks..
I am still in the stage of cycling my tank.. Someone suggested I clean my filter out.. I have a Fluval 304..
My media is carbon and ceramic rolls.. Is this ok for my tank.. or will it create mote nitrate?
Thanks.. from the beginner..
