03 ACTINIC BLUE 420 NM vs BLUE 460 NM

Actinics are basically blue black lights, sitting next to a 14kk they don't even look on.
PC aren't bad. Not As good as. mh T5 or led but not bad. Also more lumens nearly always means more par. Not a rule but a rule of thumb.
Anyway how big and deep is your tank and what corals are you trying to keep

Ok so is the 14k worth the sacrifice of useful light for coral for the look of it vs 10k? would this also help my refuge out since i have 10k in there?

14K is just a bluer light than the 10K, in fact 10K will help your coral grow faster. Also you don't need 10K on a refugium, a regular light bulb is just fine from what I was told. So double check on that.

so its just a personal taste thing?
is it worth the look of the 14k to have less growth?

If it were me i would make the color what I want and then only introduce corals that can thrive in the available light.

I already have all the corals, I am just replacing the lights so I wanted to see what is best to get.

For PC lighting the differences are not all that great with the exception of the 6700K Blue bulbs. Stay away from those. So, I'd just get the overall Kelvin color to your liking and leave it at that.

Ok cool.
I have a T5 ho from my old reef on my viewable refuge. It has 460 X 2 and 10k X 2
i think i would ideally have only 67k, but how will this effect it?
