actually, measure the thickness of the glass, it might not even be an aquarium. it could have a smaller glass which would not hold under pressure

no i only bought fish tanks for my spider....hes loving it in a 20 long now! I guess the test will be when i fill it with 50/50 water and vinegar. Yeah its actually thinner than i thought... how thick is it supposed to b? Its like 2/16 of an in thick i think. Looks like the same on the 20 long!

For a 10 gallon u can buy corallife self ballasting 20w 50/50 10k daylight/actinic PC bulbs $13 each and they fit typical incandescent screw in socket hoods. Cheap easy lighting for a 10g would be enough for your med-high light requiring corals. Just make sure you don't get very high light requiring corals. Least from what I've read and heard from ppl. I'm new also my 10g has had a fish. For. A week now and all seems well so far ill start adding corals in few weeks. Also I've heard protein skimmers aren't needed for a 10g and are actually bad for a tank that small.

i wouldnt have ran my 10g without a skimmer at all. 10g is such a small volume and a change can come quickly in nutrients. the skimmer helps take out extra stuff to lessen those nutrients.

o im gonna save and get a mini tunze. The one i picked out didnt have very good reviews. protien skimmer is a must especially in a little nano reef! Right now ive got a big slug to deal with....i think hes munching on my coral!
