There is 2 in pace,but i do not like them at all.I like water world and aqua works,aqua works being my favorite,Tim really get's me some nice corals and fish when i want them and has good prices too.

I Agree, Tim and Mike are both pretty knowledgeable and seem to care about what they are selling you. I used to go to Aquaria, however, the owner was never there to talk to about getting my 100 gallon.
Besides, Tim and Mike's price on the 100gallon was lil too good to pass up...

good morning everyone! I've been reading and visiting websites (wetwebmedia very nice, TY whoever posted that info -

) And The following is what I am thinking for my 100gallon. Not all within the first week of cycling!

120# LR
110# LS
1 Snowflake eel
1 Hippo tang
1 yellow tang
2 clownfish (maybe maroon or Perc's)
5 green chromis
1 lawnmower blenny
2 cleaner shrimp
snails/crabs
shrooms, feather dusters, zoos
Any other suggestions/coments from you that have 90-125 gallons on successful fish you have?

Your right about aquaria,David is the owner and he is never there,he always has a kid in there that doesn't know his butt from a hole in the ground.I was going to buy my RO/DI unit from him but he walked out and left while i was looking at the livestock so i quit going there all together!I go to aqua works for everything,but if they don't have it i will go to water world.

Tis a shame about Aquaria, Dave is a really nice guy, however, I can never get a hold of him....
I heard Ruetzel (sp?) roost on blue aangel is going out of business soon? Have you heard that rumor? That would be about the only time I would buy something from them.

No i have not heard that rumor yet,but with the prices they have,they drive theirself out of business!I called there when i was looking for my tank and they wanted like 2000 for a 150 with nothing,no overflow or drilled.I have never been in there since they changed names a year or so ago.What part of pensacola are you in?

Agree - their prices are outragoeous! Besides, their livestock selection and store help is on the pathetic side.

I'm down off Gulf Beach Hwy, in the Emerald Shores area next to NAS. Sucks cuz it take me at least 35+ minutes to get to Aqua works...on a light traffic day!

Well your lucky,it takes me an hour on a NO traffic day,but well worth the drive.I launch my boats not to far from you at galvez landing,now that rod & reel is gone anyway.

wooo hooo!!! I'm out of town at meetings, or i'd post some pics. But suffice to say, i have 100lbs of LS and about 30lbs of LR and one "previously" raw shrimp cycling the big boy!!

Closed loop system with 4 VHO's for now. MH are on my x-mas list!

So, this is what I'm thinking for my new obsession:

1 yellow tang
2 mated maroon clowns
1 tiger pistol w/ companion blenny
3-5 green chromis
1 BTA
1 cleaner shrimp
2 firefish or other similar
obligatory cleaning crew
"softies" corals
Zoos, shroom, etc
Suggestions on fish, zoos and soft corals? I'll get some pics posted this weekend. :jumping:

Glad to hear it is up and on it's way Dex,i just got my new dual 400w MH monday and mounted in my hood on my tank as well.Now all i am doing is waiting for it to finish it's cycle!Keep me posted on how things are going!

I went over and had Tim at Aqua Works order them for me.They set me back $617 for a dual 400w PFO ballast and 2-spider reflectors,plus 2 xm 20k bulbs.Yes they are mounted on my new tank already,that was the first thing i did when i brought them home.

30 gallon. Just below the Firefish you can see the tubes of the BTA that split earlier this week. Fla Condi also in pic to left.
Other pic is of my newest additions!! Softies!! getting them started in 30 so in about 3-4 months, they'll hopefully spread and multiply so I can frag into my 100G!! :jumping:

I just bought a 125gal. from a private dealer. I want to start a reef/fish. I'm learning alot just reading what I see on here, very interesting. I have cash to start out, but unfortunatly any lfs around here are not worth crap!! I just need to know a few things....1. How much sand? 2. Filters 3. Lighting. I currantly have 55gal. fish only......one and a half years running..

Sand is a personal preference IMO....Some people like the DSB theory idea, personally I don't, but that's me.......Lighting again depends on what you actual intentions are to keep inside the tank......If your looking at SPS you need good lighting, and filtration will vary depending on how you want to set things up and importantly how much room you have available for your filtration components.....I should suggest that you purchase a good quality skimmer and don't skimp in this area.......
Give us more ideas of what you actually would like to keep and space requirments and such!!!!!!!!!
