Ok so I know there isnt such a thing as a perfect guide for how many fish you can have in a tank but thats what Im wondering.
Right now I have 3 clownfish and a 6-line wrasse. Also have some nas snails and some hermit crabs.
I am getting a sand sifting goby and a blue hippo soon but also need to know what else I can/should get.
some other fish I would like to have would be an school of anthias, mandarin goby, and maybe another fish or two.
Would that be ok to have in the tank or am I gonna need less/more?

What you have now sounds fine for a 120 gallon tank except for 3 Clownfish. You could even add a Pygmy Angel but you need to remove one of the Clownfish.

I agree about removing the one clownfish, sooner or later, it will become an issue.
Some fish to consider (not all):
Dwarf Angelfish (as Bang Guy mentioned)
Blenny
Basslet (I personally LOVE the yellow assessor)
fairy/flasher wrasse

I do plan on having a topper on the tank so I shouldn't have to worry about jumpers.
As for getting rid of one of the clown fish I dont plan on it until I have a problem and ive had them now for 5 years so odds are I wont I hope. The reason I have three is a friend of mine had told me you want odd numbers of clowns so they wouldn't fight..... So I bought 5 of them......... within a week one of the clowns jumped out of the tank and they started to beat up on a second one so we gave it away. Now we have a mated pair that have been spawning for the past year and they leave the littlest clown alone. They used to keep the little one away from the anemone and them but then we got the sixline wrasse and now it protects the little clown for some reason, so now he owns the tank with his protector swimming close behind lol.
Moral to the story............ Never listen to advice from a guy that has 15 fish in a 30 gallon aquarium...
(Now I look back at it and realize all the crap advice he game me and how bad his tank was but there isn't much I can do about it now but learn from my mistakes.)
