The T5ho's are here!
We'll be doing the hood this weekend as opposed to the sump. Were still waiting for the parts and pieces for it, as well as it's going to be nice tomorrow.
stay tuned, we'll be right back! These ar three sets of 2 lamp 39 watt T5HO's with Fulham Workhorse 5 ballasts. This is half the tanks final lighting. Will have right now 4 12,000K's UVL lamps and 2 UVL super actinics.

After about 12 hours on the canopy today, we've got it mostly done. Just left with the front doors, adding a couple 12v. fans, and a relay to automate the fans and moonlights. We wire the canopy with 8 receptacles on top to accomodate the 6 ballasts that will be installed when all the lighting is complete. So clown101 will have the ability to create a more natural photoperiod with just 7 (counting moonlight) timers. Turning on one set of lights at a time, then turning them off in the same order, ending back with actinics. Then when the last set of actinics goes off, fans shut down and moonlight's come on. He'll also be able to plug in the 2 koralia 4's and his aqualifter for the OF.Heres a few pics.
The first is how we cut the louvres in the two sid epanels with a table saw.
Second, I believe are the louvres cut .
Third, 6 retro's all fitted perfectly in place(barely I might add!).
Fourth, assemble the current 3 for the left side, with holes predrilled for the future installation.
Fifth, wiring mostly coplete.

Got it all finished up except the relay. I'll pick that up this week and get it installed after he gets it all stained, and the inside painted white and sealed. Some more pics.

Couple more pics. BTW, the canopy is 17 inches tall, 73 in. long and 24 in. deep. It's a beast, but will still allow him to access the tank in all areas easily. One door opens with a divider, the other two open and leave the entire opening between them to access the tank.

LOL. The bench is a wet area, it will hold 3, 10gals. For water change and ATO. As well as drooling!

Clown, can we get a pic with you standing on the bench fior perspective? That things huge.

I'll take another one and post it, I think we should of built the bench a little bit taller, I bearly can reach the inside bottom of the tank
good thing I shouldn't have to be doing any thing there. If every thing goes as plan I will be setting up the tank the first weekend of march.

Bump for Bigpapa
Here ya go!, these measurements are with having eliminated the CENTER LRR compartment. Using the compartment directly before the pump for LRR and eliminating the raised pump design. You may be able to get away with just a 10" skimmer compartment and increase the size of the fuge some. Fudge the LRR compartment as needed to fit it all in. BTW, A 2X4 cut into spacers works real good for installing the baffles. You'll need to measure the inside measurement of the glass and have the baffles cut to fit. They need to be spot on or a little shy if anything. Otherwise even just 1/8 in too long and they will need to be put in there diagonally, not really a problem as far as function, but more of an appearance thing.
