There's a company online, glass-holes has some really nice overflows that come with everything you need to drill and install the overflows. I was going to buy them from there but I found another tank with internal overflows, but every person I knew recommended me that place.
If you're going to drill the bottom, just be completely sure to call the company and give them the number of the tank and ask if it's not tempered. I say this because a friend of mine had the exact same tank and it completely cracked by drilling the bottom. The sides and back I think are ok to drill though.
As far as sump goes, definitely use the 55g. If you'll be planning to get a skimmer or any kind of reactors, then I would definitely say use the 55g as sump/fuge.

What kind of fishh is that? lol

It's a "Son-Fish" belonging the family Roberts. We've had him for almost nine years and he's still alive! Amazing little creatures, they can thrive in virtually any environment.

Thanks for suggesting glass-holes but they didn't have exactly have what I'm looking for. So I'm going to DYI kinda-sorta. I called a glass shop and I can get the holes drilled for $10 each, a little expensive but they are bonded and insured where I am not
Does anyone know if it possible to build the overflow boxes out of plastic/acrylic and attach them to glass???

Found some bulkheads at a local "everything" store. 1 1/2" for the overflows and 1" for the returns.

how did glass-holes not have what you want. I bet if you email them with your specs they can help you. I ordered a 700GPH kit from them, and placed another order for 4-3/4" return kits.
I wouldn't pay to have a tank drilled. It's too easy, and it's rewarding when you're done. After I drilled the hole for my overflow.. i thought.. "hmm.. what else can i drill?"

Just be 100% sure the bottom can be drilled. I say this because a friend of mine had the exact same tank and his got smashed when he drilled it. He's drilled who know how many tanks on the sides and bottom, but that particular tank wasn't supposed to be drilled at the bottom.
What return pump do you have in mind?

Yeah. It doesn't have any warning stickers. I also called the 1-800# and they said if it doesn't have the warning stickers then it's not tempered. It came with a lifetime warranty and I made the store manager state on the receipt that there were no warning stickers and he signed it

I was thinking a Mag 1800 maybe...
Any suggestions?

Great to be covered that way from the store manager in case something happens

With a 1 1/5" drain I think you get around 800-900gph per drain so a mag 18 seems about right. People suggested me to not go over my drains gph. Try to stay with a pump lower than 1800gph. If you can afford it, go with an external pump as they don't increase temperatures like the internals do. I use a Quiet One and so far it's been great.

So do you think the Quiet One 6000 will do it? It's rated at 1506 gph. $127 isn't bad either!

Sorry I didn't read your thread. How do you plan on doing the returns? Will you be splitting them. Are you trying to run everything up through the corner OF?
Are you going to do two OF's, one in each corner?
For me to answer your Q on what pump, I like to have info. Just guessing about your head pressure I am comming up with the Quiet one 6000 only giving you 610 GPH.
A MAG18 with the same head pressure will give you 832 GPH
What are the tank dimensions?
