Yeah....but I don't get it

So essentially, even if he went with 250's he could still get the job done if he was selective with coral placment. Hence, no SPS, LPS anywhere near the bottom of the tank. He could still do a respectable reef tank with them, no? I'm gonna have to check out that site.

OHHHHH yes the 250's can/would do the job, but as you stated coral placement......400's would be extreme IMHO, but if you look at the recommendations for lighting yes, 400's would be the ticket, but the draw backs are insane IMO.......

So I'm looking all over online for a good deal and came across this...
"I also have a 6 bulb T5 HO Finnex fixture that is 48", its brand new i had it fired up for about an hour to test it out. Comes with 3 actinic, and 3 10K bulbs. 10/10!"
Would I want that for my system?

NO....your tank is 60" long isn't it?????
That is a T5HO unit only......If you want the corals and anemone you really need the Metal halides on that tank

Could you possibly send me a link to a few that I could look at purchasing? There are many online that I was finding that run into the thousands.....................

No linkys allowed.....LOL....
I have the outer orbit 72" light....It has 3 250W Metal Halides, 8 T5HO lights, and the blue led moonlights....I am very happy with it
They are not made anymore, BUT can be found.....try googling it....and try googling metal halide fixtures....
P.S. Mine cost about $1200

Am I going to have to put these lights and all other equipment on a different fuse box? Or is it not going to be that powerful. I don't want to keep blowing a fuse every other minute trying to load it with all this stuff. Are you able to send links via PM?

You are welcome.....It does not have to be that light....I just like all that it has...I like actinics, and I LOVE the moonlights...You DO NOT have to have them....altho they are sooooooo nice

There are different brands, styles, etc....etc.....and if you can DIY...well talk to Acrylic and 2quills about making a set
I do not DIY ;)

I thought this lighting diffuser was supposed to be cheap! I can't seem to find it anywhere and where I can find it they're saying $70!

You are not looking at the right thing then.....it's flimsy white plastic with squares....lol

a 4 x 8 sheet should be $10 - $12 at the most
