We get the same storms you get in Chicago (Fort Wayne). Rather the storms we need a good soaking rain for around 4-5 days. Sorry about your power again. I bet it's getting old huh?

Wow, I'm so sorry for your losses, I don't know how I missed this thread, my power was out for 4 days as well. I was unpacking my new generastor when the lights finally came on....it took that long to get one. My Blue hippo tang was my first death, I lost the Kole tang, my Lemonpeel angelfish, my serpent stars, and cleaner shrimp. I had no SPS corals just softies in the seahorse tank. The only thing left in the 90g was the lawnmower blenny, the orchid dottyback, and the 2 perc clowns.
I was delighted and amazed but I didn't loose anything in the saehorse tank except some macroalgae. I opened the blinds and direct sunlight bathed half the tank.
Your tank was so beautiful, don't give up. Should it happen again.... Water changes every few hours saved my tanks, sadly I hadn't begun those water changes until after my three fish died (I hadn't thought of it until then). Everything survived once I started doing little changes around the clock....I got desperate to try and save them and cried allot. The corals took it the hardest without light, they just really shriveled up...I don't think anything would have saved your SPS coral except a generator.
Why is a generator not an option, do you live high rise apartment?

sorry to hear about all this... i very rarely have loss of power. one time in the past two years was i without electricity long enough to worry and i got two battery powered air pumps. i strongly believe that they saved my livestock. they are a good thing to have around, IMO.

The move went as well as could be expected. Took over 12 hours to complete. What a night..
Got a few new frags and two new fish.
Bought a new picasso clownfish that was found on the ground in the morning. Sigh
I need things to start going my way again!

If you look back, I mentioned the move during the power outage of death. Kind of got buried in that whole issue..
I moved the tank at the start of August and have been 2000 miles away from it ever since. I added the clownfish right before I left, and it was fine until yesterday. I am ready to get back in front of the glass..
