Yeah i'll put the shrimp in tomorrow night around 8 and take it out at 8 in the morning. I've been lucky with the temperature, i went with a 25 watt heater and it works great. I still have the bioballs, carbon, etc still in the back, what do you suggest i put back there? I'm getting a couple more pieces of rock tomorrow, i'm also getting a maxi-jet 900 submersible pump as well, i heard they work much better.
Is the 900 the biggest that will fit? I know thats the case with the biocube 14, but never looked at the back of an aquapod. Get the bioballs out NOW! lol pitch them in the trash or save them for later (maybe need them for a freshwater app?) Keep the carbon running in there...
After the cycle is over, this is what I'd do:
bag of rowaphos, bag of chemipure, bag of purigen. See if you can work out some sort of way to light a chaeto fuge with an led or something in a back chamber. Key to success is exporting nitrates and phosphates (typically the hardest to do.) If you wanna be slick, look up the algae scrubber thread in the reef section (mega nitrate, phosphate, everything remover or something is the title of it.) This is the best solution if you followng the proper cleaning instructons of it...
