I'm having the same problem with my new biocube 8 (excessive fan noise for the first couple of minutes after I turn it on).
It'd be great if I could contact Oceanic about this, but I can't find any sort of Oceanic web site where I can get their contact information.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Contact info from warranty sheet, for tech. assistance or warranty issues, call oceanic Systems @ (800) 255 4527 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Pacific standard time or E-mail customerservice@oceanicsystems.com.
