well went and got my 15 gallon tank on sat and sand and got home and was very lazy did nothing but look at it well yesterday i got alot done! spray painted the back black! and built my frag rack out of egg crate! looks awsome no water or sand yet i was 5 gallons shy and the LFS was all ready closed! well here are some specs on the tank!
15 gallon 24x12x12
40lbs of black live sand
small Hob filter
150w clip on MH w/ 14k
single power head
small heater!
i plan on just getting one Interesting size rock to put in the tank next to the rack and as far as stocking I'm gonna just do the basic clean up crew and a golby and piston shrimp! and maybe a clown goby or something else really small to keep the bio load as low as possible! i'll have pics up later today
so let me know what you all think!

Looks awsome so far. BTW that sand looks great, Did you order that or get it from your LFS, I think I want some for my Dt that Im saving for. Anyway I love the picture with your cat, my dogs love to watch my tank and look at my Yellow Tang because we feed them these yellow biscuts and I think they found a similairity.
Anyway looks like its going to be a good and fun time.

Since you got Mh on it what kind of SPS are you going to grow? Or do you just want the best for them to grow?

Looks good!
I have a 20L frag tank and just a thought, you may want to make that rack longer instead of deep if you have enough left over eggcrate (which you should if you bought a new piece). If the rack is too close to the glass it will be really hard to clean. I'm about to rebuild my rack due to this reason, but since yours isnt set up yet it would be much easier to do now rather than later when your rack is full of frags.

sps wise i'm just gonna use it to grow out frags from my tank and maybe what ever other frags i get! and i was smart i made sure to build the rack to that there was enough clearance to fit the mag float btwn the side and front ! i also have a 20L but it was to big for the light i had and didnt want to buy a new light! i should have pic of it with the light in it in the next couple days! considering i dont really need the light till i get the tank cycle moving along!

If you don't mind I was wondering what type of Mh clip on you got and how much. I was thinking of going with one instead of like 6 T-5 bulbs on my fraG TANK.

i cant be 100% sure but i'm almost positive its a corallife 150w MH and i got it used and replaced the bulb just to be safe i think i spent like 170 for the fixture and bulb!
if you look in the classifieds and on the other big saltwater site they have a ton of great deals on used lights just be sure to replace the bulb cause you have no idea how long they have been in there!
also tank has sand it in and full of water just really cloudy and i dont have my light on it yet i have to dig it out of the closet! witch means i have to open the doors! o man!

Yeah, I can see that you have enough room for a mag float in front of the rack but good luck when you need to get a blade on the glass to really keep it clean...

Ok i have a question about this tank! I'm more then likely going to put a 150 MH 14k on this tank its a clip on fixture but I'm thinking that 10w per gallon might be a little to much and end up bleaching the corals! so i was looking at this instead! what do you think mind you i will have everything in this tank from SPS to lps and zoo's and shrooms!
here are the specs!
2x 24W T6 12000K bulb, 2x 24W T6 Actinic Blue True 03 bulb, 2x Bluemoon Double LED.
