After 2 years in this hobby my wife and I have upgraded our 150 gallon to a 210 all-glass reef ready tank, many weeks in planning, months of reading these boards and a long 3 day conversion weekend and here’s the results, by the way if anyone is curious we have nearly 6K into this setup and both of us at 23 just starting out was a big financial strain,

yes I chated with you a bit when you first got the tank and sump I have been following the thread. The tank looks great by the way. Do you have any other flow in the tank besides the returns from the sump? If you are debating on what to do I would highly recomend a tunze wavebox. It makes natural wave movement and the water is in motion in every area of the tank in a slow circular pattern which also makes natural random currents. And forget about powerheads. I use one and have it on the same cycle as my actinics (daytime) lighting, when they go off and the moon lights come on the waves stop for a clamer nightime envoroment. It is very spendy though about $450 but as much as you are putting in to your setup it is worth it!! It uses very little power 65 watts at full power and best it's silent!!
I would scrap the UV steralizer IMO they do more harm than good on a reef tank killing benifcial bactreia in the water.

man tunzie's got to be nice, I wish I had the $$$ to get em. I have a problem with spending so much $$$ on a powerhead though, If i saw it I might change my mind though.

You could also use 2 SCWID wavemakers I had mine setup like that for a bit then put the wave box in and took them out they will fit right inside your overflows on the returnlines and use loc-lines on them. This will also give you some random switching currents.

hey, BEAUTIFUL tank! 210's are great, aren't they? I just set-up mine as well.
Quick question: how do you take such nice pics of your tank with the moonlights on??
