1st Reef Tank Diary (55g)

I am a little late in the game as far as the diary goes, but I thought better late than never. My 55g tank has been up since January, but I have just recently began adding corals. I think it will be fun to track the progress of my tank with this diary. I appreciate any input or comments from you guys. Thanks!
First pic is when it was a FO tank before any live rock. 2nd and 3rd are after adding 30 lbs of LR.

And here is a tank shot as in its current state. I'm 2 weeks away from adding my Foxface that has been in hypo in the QT for 2 weeks.

Here is a pic of the tank in my den. I am excited about getting my foxface back into the DT. The tank caught a nasty bout of ICH and the only survivor was the foxface. I've learned my lesson about not QT'ing new fish.

Looking good. Quick question though. Since it was only FO and no live rock or corals, couldn't you have left all the fish in and just did Hypo in your DT. Do you think that would have been less stress on the fish and you might have saved a few. Just curious is all, not trying to be sarcastic.

Oh, and if you moved your fish to another tank to QT, did you leave your DT fishless for 6 weeks. If not you have a chance of seeing ich again.

Yeah, I did not realize this until after I had the foxface. My plan is to give him to my father who has a very mature 75 gallon tank once he gets bigger.
I love the zoas as well!! I think the coloration on the orange colony is amazing. Also the variation of polyps on the larger rock is awesome. I'm very excited.

I have a TEK 4 bulb retro-fit T-5 fixture for a total of 216 watts. I have geisman bulbs ( 1 miday, 1 true actinic and 2 of their 60/40 bulbs). I am really happy with the lighting so far.

No offense taken at all. I appreciate all the constructive comments I can get. Here is the situation.
The DT had inverts/LR at the time when the outbreak hit the tank. At this time I had not yet gotten the QT up and running. By the time the QT was ready ( about 2 days after I noticed the infection) , I had lost 3 fish. The only fist left was the foxface.
This is why I did not perform hypo in the DT. Next Thrusday will be the 6th week of a fishless DT. The foxface will come out of hypo in the QT this week. I'll take a week to raise the salinity before entering him into his old home.
I have learned the hard way the importance of having a QT up and running at all times. Unfortunatly I never before had room to have a QT running fulltime. I have made some changes to my house that allows it now.

I am having an issue with my star polyps. Somehow a bit of them seem to be tearing off of the rock they came on. I think this part was loose when I got them from the LFS. What shoud I do with this "loose" piece? Would I be better off glueing this piece to the rock or cutting it and placing it somewhere else with the hopes that it will take there. Here is a pic of what I am dealing with.

It is tearing off on the lower right hand corner.

great start.
you'll love the tank more and more as it ages.
My tank is 9months exact and it's a beauty now with purple Coraline algae spreading on the back and 2 sides of glass and a well balance system. Be sure to keep up with the Calcium level and SG level(1.025 is the best) in the water and the system will thrive before you realize it.
Good luck and have fun.

What do you recommend that I use to glue the GSP to another rock?

Thanks alot for the kind words and encouragement! The tank already has begun to change soo much that is the reason I began this diary. I like posting the images of the ever-changing tank. What do you guys reccomend that I keep the calcium levels at if I may ask?
Here are a few images of my newest additions (green mushrooms, 2lb piece of new live rock):

And the tank as a whole:
