The tank looks awesome. I'm in the process of planning out the same 5.5g tank.
How do you like your nano skimmer?

First weekend i had it the sponge in it got really dirty and the water wasn't able to run out so it filled up and started running out my overflow line. When i came into work monday there was about 2 gallons of water on the floor of my office.
I lost half my xenia, some zoas, mushrooms. One of my shrimp died.
Now i pull the sponge out and clean it once a week. Also i have the skimmer plugged into the timed side of my power switch so it only runs when my Halide is on. I have them set to only run 2 hours a day Saturday and Sunday to reduce evaporation. So now if something else happens the skimmer wont pump water out of my tank 24/7.

The skimmer is the Current Fission Nano Skimmer $24.99
I really like it , allot of people on here seem to think i have it installed in my tank wrong and believe it should be submerged more, but i found by doing it the way i have it done i reduce the amount of micro bubbles it puts in the tank 10 fold. Not to mention i don't think 1 person gave me any reason it shouldn't be done the way i have it done.

i heared a lot of bad things about the fission. what do u think about it? i have a 12 gallon aquapod and would put it in the back filter area. should i submerge it all the way??? i have the hood that comes with it not metal halides so i think i need to have it submerged all the way.

You would need to submerge it, the reason i don't submerge mine is because to many micro bubbles get released into my tank.. In your case you would have it in the back in the compartments and could reduce your micro bubbles with the extra sponge that comes with the skimmer. I just dont have that option with the normal square tank.
