Hi!
I have a 4x65w PC fixture and don't have the budget to upgrade to Metal Halides. I however have seen the amazing pics of people using 20K Metal Halides and was wondering if there is any brand that makes 20K PCs? Thanks!!!

20,000 Kelvin is just a color, it's not a light spectrum.
You can achieve something similar to 20,000K using a combination of bulbs. Something like 3 X tru Actinic + 1 daylight should be close to 20,000 Kelvin.

Ok. So if I replaced my two 10,000K Bulbs with 50/50s, I'd kinda get the same effect? Thanks!

Yep. Be careful to avoid the 7100K blue bulbs though, they don't provide much usable light. Spend the extra money for real actinics.

IMO you can not replicate 20k with pc's especially when there is such variants of the 20k color by manufacturer.....given a 20k xm bulb it is dim and purple ish....given a 20k radium you will have a crisp white with a blue....given the ushio 20k blue.....you will have a blue blue blue color...

That is a good point... I have seen the difference in Pheonix and XM before, too... My main goal with this "mini-project" per se was to try and get the coral's colors to "pop" like the do under 20K lighting. Thanks for the help!
