thinking of selling my 55 and setting this up.
equipment
-AquaC remora nano
-20 long aga tank
-hob fuge
-50 watt heater/nano chiller
-lighting 1x 250 watt hqi and 2x 65 watt pc
fish
-yellow headed jaw fish
-pair of percs
-randalli goby/randalli shrimp
inverts

-5 turbo snails
-10 blue leg hermits
-5 nass. snails
-22 lbs figi rock
tell me what you think

Depends what you like. Clownfish, Firefish, Blennies (Midas are very colorful and almost resemble a Jawfish) are just a few suggestions.

I have 2 GS Maroon Clowns and a Randall Goby. You won't need to spend a bunch of money on a chiller if you mount the lights 12-14 inches above the tank.

bump it up to a 29? same footprint, more options. idk, jawfish may prefer a 6 inch sandbed, but its not a have to have type of thing, just a decently deep sandbed would be fine, atleast ime.

That's the difference between survive and thrive. The burrow MUST be the entire length of the fish and then some. To thrive, an animal needs as natural a habitat that we can replicate and will suit its needs in the present and the future.
But I agree with you on the 29 if he really wants Jawfish.
