Seriously? The only thing Lars had going for him was the double bass....Take that away (which is simple) and he would be out drummed by Ricky Rocket.....Yeah, I said it!
Dave Lombardo
Tommy Lee
Neil Pert
Nikko McBrain---far superior double kick drummer than Lars.
Rick Allen
Want more?

Tommy Lee??? Rick Allen??? Rick Allen is mos def talented esp with his disability... if you think Lars is a double bassing ricky Rocket you are high and you seriously need to listen to some more Lars then... i agree that Nikko is hard core, but Lars still has him beat... no pun intended... if it wasnt for Lars there would be no Lombardo...

In 1989 I received my very first moving violation.
1. Careless and Imprudent Driving
2. Excessive Acceleration
3. Endangering the Lives of Others
4. Drag Racing (yes, that was the violation)
I needed a Crimzy for that one.

Wow, imagine if you got busted for that today... What type of horrible monster you would be to society... I don't think we'd ever find all of the pieces of you, between the rocks and pitchforks...

20 years ago... I was 15, in 9th grade, was finally turning from a short fat kid to a tall skinny kid, had glasses, bad acne, and finally managed to land my first girlfriend. Was listening to modern alternative rock like The Cure, The Pixies as well as G&R, Def Leppard and Van Halen

Considering Slayer was started at the same time as Metallica this is a lie..........
You obviously haven't heard St. Anger, Take away his double bass (like in that album) and he drums about as a good as a paraplegic holding the sticks with his mouth.

And you probably think the Black album was actually good, Steven Adler is better than Matt Sorum, and Dave Mustaine sucks.........
I thinking listening to it at 123 decibals has damaged your hearing.......obviously.

i like maybe 3 songs on the black album... Matt Sorum is superior and Dave Mustaine's only downfall was his substance abuse and attitude...

LMAO!!!!!! His substance and attitude was no worse than Lars and Hetfields at the time...
which 3 songs off the black album?
Ok, which bands have asked Lars to play on their albums or record a song with them if he is so great? I know several producers/mixers/sound guys and such that have said Lars could have been replaced easily. His technical skill was lacking, sure he hit hard, but he doesn't have the control of many other drummers. He just happened to land in one of the biggest bands of all time. That is why you and a few others think he is so great. Kurt and him used to always get voted the top spot for best guitarist and drummer in the 80's...Kurt is good I will say that, better than Eddie Van Halen, Cantrell, satriani, Murray, I don't think so. Again they just happened to be in the biggest band at the time.
It is similar to the Guns and Roses thing....Slash gets most of the credit for the guitar, yet it was izzy the wrote and created most of the songs..Guns and roses stopped being good when Izzy left and was not involved with the song writing and the instrumental sounds and cadence..........Yet Slash gets all the credit (don't get me wrong his a great studio guitarist) as does axl.
I can name several bands that asked for a collaboration with Lombardo and Lee......Obviously musicians know who is truly good and who is all show and pose.

obviously Mustaine had the worst attitude and got the boot out of the band...
Holier Than Thou, My Friend Of Misery, Struggle Withing and also The God That Failed isnt too bad...
what does G n R have to do with Lars???
i cant say who if anyone has asked Lars to collaborate... i would imagine that he has been approached though... and he has also produced several other bands albums... i really dont see your point here... if you think that collaborating on an album is the pinnacle then Lil Jon must be the rapper ever...
