Crypt, a Sohal sounds good. So I was wondering what game plan should I go with. Who to introduce first. Go with the Sohal first, then some dwarfs and last the Passer and Queen -? I want this to be the final plan

You don't want to add anything after the Sohal. It should be the absolute last fish you add.
Personally I don't think a Sohal would work in your tank because you have other tangs. My guess is the Sohal will eventually go after and kill your other tangs. The previous owner of my Sohal was forced to sell him because he literally killed ALL his other tangs, slashed a yellow tang in half. When I put him in my tank, the fish he went after was my foxface (closest to another tang that I have). So I took out the foxface and put him in my other tank and ever since then, I've had no agression issues from the Sohal.

Wow, I never knew that the Sohal is so mean, wow. Thanks for the tip Petey. But oh what a beautiful fish. I was thinking if I add a larger Yellow tang, then he might school up with the one I have now......

You can try a Naso or Blonde Naso Tang. They're pretty hardy and not overly agressive.

I'm working on the Blonde Naso Petey. Funny thing, I was talkin to the main guy at "BZ", you know where I bought most of my livestock. And he said rules are meant to be broken, regarding a Sohal Tang. He said it should be the last tang added to the tank, not the last fish. So I don't know..................

Could be... there are always exceptions to the rule and each fish is different. So you might luck out with a Sohal. I took a chance with mine and it turned out really good. Like he's agressive but not more than the queen angel or clown trigger. The guy at the store thought I was nuts for buying it, but I took a chance and it worked out for me.

GTDAROCK my LFS told me the same thing about my Sohal. He was the last fish I added, however my purple tang was in there first. They scrapped for about 24 hrs, but after that they are fine now. My Sohal was small and has grown a little but he has been very well behaved thus far. I wanted to add a medium Passer, however my LFS told me no because he may kill my other fish. They recommend a Queen or Koran. I have not gotten the best advice from my LFS thus far so I am holding off until I upgrade next year to a 240g tank. I am doing all my research here because I think LFS's like to take chances when they are playing with other people's money!!

I'm gonna pull the trigger on this one. Petey I just sent you a PM. And the raw shrimp worked out fine in the QT, everything is good.

the raw shrimp feeds it once. You have to keep feeding it without any fish. I personally would add the sohal as the last fish. Throw a cube of mysis shrimp in your qt. Check params tomorrow. Order Up!

This is what I have in my QT to keep it cycled. Or yeah, continue ghost feeding every day when there's no fish in it.

Thanks guys, I've been feeding it everyday. I'm trying to decide what to do about the stocklist. I still can't find a Queen or Passer, I can get the Sohal tomorrow, keep him in the 55 QT, but should I also add the angels with him in the same QT -? I was trying to maybe introduce all of them together.I don't know, I'm confused

I think that's too many fish at once. I'd add the Sohal, then when he's in the DT, look into the angels.

yeh, add the sohal then the angels. if the sohal starts to be aggresive the angels can hold their own. but if the sohal is HUGE and the angels are small then you may have problems. but from wat ive heard MOST tangs are pretty aggresive, so you could just treat the sohal the same as the others

I'm all set guys, getting the Sohal on Thursday and I'm thinking of getting some dwarf angels, a pair of flames and a coral beauty for a 20 gal QT all set up.
Then finally the Queen and Passer. How does that sound guys -? Or am I pushing it -?

Hey guys ! So I have some new additions to the 55 QT. I picked the Sohal on Thursday, awesome fish, very very active, and the colors are amazing,he's about 4 1/2 inches, I also picked up a
4 in Queen Angel, I decided to go with a different route, and try a smaller Queen , I also have a Bi-Color angel about 3inches and a Percula clown, that I might leave in the QT permanently.
I'm looking to QT everyone for a month, then add everyone at the same time to the DT. I also have a 20 gallon QT setup up for a pair of Flame Angels and the very very hard to find Passer Angel, and then that's it for my stocklist. I was wondering if you guys think I should treat the QT right away with Prazi -?

Great looking fish GT!
Prazi doesn't seem to effect appetite nearly as much as Cupramine if at all. Instead of waiting till they eat strongly like with treating with copper, I would just make sure both are eating something before treating Prazi (if they aren't already).
