228W in a 20 gallon?

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post the link to another site that I'm thinking about getting a light set-up from but it's a 228W AquaticLife HID/T-5 fixture with lunar lights. Has 1 150W metal halide, and it has 2 39W 420/460 T-5's with the 4 lunar lights. I have 4 T-5's on the tank now with about 156W, it's like a 600$ light but the birthday is coming up, and the girlfriend might pay for half of it! =] If I can post the link, somebody just let me know, I just didn't wanna get in trouble. Thanks guys and gals!

Nope....no posting links...LOL....BUT the description should be enough....
sounds like a lot of light for a 20G though
....I have a 4 set T5 on my 29G..and keep lps, sps, and a clam
why do you think you need so much more???

What bulbs are you using now, in what fixture? Have you looked into ATI, UVL, or KZ bulbs......
I have 2 ATI blue plus, 1 ATI Aqua blue special, and 1 Aqua Science special 15K in my 4 bulb set

I have 2 coralife 10000k whites a 420 and a blue actinic in the same type of fixture as the new setup I want, it's a aquaticlife.

Look into changing your bulbs, I am no expert, but I really think that other light would be over kill

The ATI bulbs come 12000k? I can get them in T-5 to put into my fixture, and what they usually cost?

Aquascience comes in 15K.......UV comes in 12K...and 14 I think
the aquascience run about $25...ati $19-$23......depends on your wattage, BUT I am guessing you have 24W bulbs

they are all T5 bulbs and are well worth the money......better then a whole new fixture,.....LOL....
Google AquaScience T5 bulbs....and go to the 5th link down..... we can not post other web sites....

How do you have them tied Meow? I got White digital timer actinic and lunar timers on my fixture. Should I put the aquascience with the special blue and keep the two aqua blues together?

Thank you meow =] will do the same then, you seem to have beautiful tanks. Will put the 12000k and 15000k together and the blue plus together. Only problem I'm having now, is I seem to be bleaching my finger leather >.> Go me! -.- Tank for the past 2 days has just been getting warmer, can't seem to bring it down under 80. Oh well, Randy - 0 Tank - 2. lol
