Well I broke down my 125 gallon about a month ago and moved. Well I decided I didnt like living alone so i moved back, I soon decided that I missed my Saltwater tank so much that I needed a new one. So i bought a 28 gallon bow front tank and got it started. So I got live rock from my grandmothers tank and also about 15 gallons of her water. So Now letting it cycle for about two weeks it time I start looking for a stock list. This is what Im thinking as of now. Let me know what you think. It has about 30-40 pounds of live rock to start it off. Im still going to wait before I add so i know cycle is done.

2 Blue eye cardinals(Dont Know much about them)
2 small clowns
Cuc-15 hermits,5 cerith snails, 5 nassarius
I may do some corals after I get a better light...
Does this sound good?? Or what would yall do?

i think that sounds good but dont buy anything before researching it i dont know much about the cardinal fish but what i do know is they do best in groups of three

seems fine, but i would avoid hemits, they tend to kill snails for shells all the time
Maybe only do 5 if i want crabs and up the snails

I been doing some research about them. Trust me i anit going to jump into it. I will do that with the hermits!! Thanks for the info.
I have also looked into Chromis to.
I want something that is colorful and that is out and about..

Well prob just soft corals(zoos, mushrooms) things like that. Also In all my other tanks I have moved the live rock and all and never done the cycle thing seeing as it was already set up. This time I put in new sand, and some rock from my old tank its been out of the water 2 weeks because i didnt think i was going to use it for a while. I used about 3 or 4 gallons of mature water but i didnt know if i would go through the cycle or not? Im in no big hurry to get fish in it but dont want to do it to soon.

How wide is the tank? There are several awesome T5 light fixtures that are relatively inexpensive that come in 24" 30" 36" and 48" respectively. They make two bulb units that would be fine for mushrooms. Four bulb units in standard sized small tanks can almost keep anything.

im with snake on this one. I would just get a 4 bulb unit, why limit what u can keep? You know you get to LFS and see something you want and cant have with current lighting..
or maybe look into a 150w MH clip on fixture. I Love my MH

Metal halide clip on lamps are great, but I've heard bad reviews from Viper. Just read the reviews before you buy.

Im just checked and its a 24 inch. I also got all the rock in and sand cleared up. Dropped a piece of shrimp to jump the cycle. Now just to wait.

ok so i have been looking some and i think nanos were harder then the big tank lol.. jk but i have found

24 Inch Current USA TrueLumen Pro 12,000K Diamond White LED StripLight but idk if they will work for corals??
Im not looking for a light to keep sps just some lps(zoos,colt,mushrooms) and thats about it nothing over the top something simple??
What do yall think. I know yall sad something about mh and i had those on the 125 but they put off so much heat lol and u have to change them out every year..

sorry im blowing my own tread up lol. im in the research mode. I have a corallife 10,000k 65 w light and i thought about adding one of those led light lights that i posted before it a deepwater blue. This is what they say on the web sight about it
Deepwater Blue - sharp 453nm actinic blue lighting for providing the necessary wavelengths for promoting strong coral growth & enhancing brilliant coloration.
Do u think this will be enough??? or have yall heard of the lights im talking about??
Sorry again i have lots of questions
