I was more commenting on your light spread......On a 30 I honestly couldn't see 2 not being enough.....I wouldn't be worried about trying to overpower or cook something on the bottom of the tank. If you look at numbers that LED rigs are getting on the sandbed that is acceptable.....

i have a peppermint shrimp but i think the polyp is too big since the shrimp is so young. Im going to try the boiling water method first.. I hope it works.

Why would my evaporation go down in my DT and not my sump? The sump level had been the same for a couple days while the DT has gone down.

Your external overflow is starting to loose siphon or your return pump is loosing head pressure.

It almost looks like a form of macro algea to me. Not certain though.

Looks like Ulva sp. to me.

i guess i will have to wait and let it grow out a little more... until then here are few pics... i want to go get a frag tomorrow...my two clowns seem quite happy. phosphates and all other readings are good. calcium is at 450 though.
