36-40 Inches of SNOW

In 95 we got just over 36" from just before 6 on Christmas eve until Christmas morning. I had a lab cross and a Heller/Boarder Collie that had to bust through the snow to go do their business. Once they had their trenches broken out all you would see was the occasional tail peeking above the berms.

LOL 80"! I would have just stayed home. The area of Montana I lived in is kinda the banana belt and couldn't handle that much. I know there are areas where 10 foot drifts aren't uncommon.

No power outages for me. I have the best company in the state. A few places in the county that have pepco have had their power go out. It has stopped snowing. 24 hours later. Now on Tuesday we are supposed to get another 8 inches. FML

yeah this is insane for Maryland. All my retarded friends were all happy. You cant do anything in that much snow. It came is less than 24 hour period. It was dropping 3 inches an hour at one point for about 6 hours. That was the bulk of the storm. Then it just snowed and snowed and snowed.
Now We have to wait for Tuesday. They are raising the totals up more than 8 inches. Could be another foot. That will be about 44 Inches. Luckly this stuff is starting to compact under its own weight. Its that heavy wet snow. It has fallen a few inches since I posted the pictured. You can see my little trees now. They just look like mounds.

Trust me snow is fun. Donner pass in that kind of storm would be max chains aka set of doubles on my front drive set of singles on my trailer and another set of singles on my back drive axle back when I drove truck. Lock the diffs and GO over it. Just avoid the idiots coming bakc from the weekend trips to Reno and Tahoe with enough Booze in them that you a target at 55 mph. Then you have Wyoming that their poilcy is Momma Nature put it there she can remove it all we will do is plow the lanes off. I would have found a Truckstop and waited til the roads reopened with this badboy. Georgia I would have found a Truckstop with a view of the Interstate Especially around Atlanta and watched them do a Demoderby at 85 MPH on I-285 as they rushed to the local Piggly Wiggly for supplies during the storm.
IL we would have had our plows out before during and after and kept on moving. Upstate NY same thing. Washington DC is paralized for who knows how long. They are arguing if this is Global warming caused or not.

DC is screwed. I live here and its bad. LOL. They have no where to put the snow. It can only go so high. 30 inches is a crap load.

Amazing pictures for a southern girl like myself.
I've often wondered how in the world some people can get out and get snow off their drive ways, sidewalks, cars, etc. What happens if you're disabled or elderly and can't do that?
I complain when my windshield ices up and I have to sit in my car for an extra 2 mins while getting it defrosted off. lol

Well you hope your neighbors will hook ya up. Every single one of mine has a snowblower. Im new to the neighborhood. One guy hooked me up. I bought him a few beers. He let me run it. Im going to get one tomorrow. They are calling for up to another foot Tuesday. My backyard has 34 inches and one spot its well over 4 foot from the wind blowing it around. Im going to run the blower back there and make a few paths for my puppies

All I got out this sucker was 1 measley inch of snow. LMFAO. Should be fun to see how long it takes Washington to dig out. Let alone some of those cities in that area. They are not setup to deal with this amount of snow.

I am the neighbor that hooks up my neighbors...I did my driveway, my neighbor across the street's driveway, the two old ladies next door, the old lady 2 doors down, helped push 3 vehicles out of various stuck predicaments, and 6 sidewalks.
On my last driveway, I planted my foot to push up the 30 degree incline of the driveway and my foot slid out from underneath me sending me into a not so graceful Superman fall down to the ground while still holding onto the snowblower...my shoulder was ALMOST back to the 90-95% feeling before this...now, I feel like I did about a week after my freaking surgery! AND...only 1 thank you from the 3 other driveways...I don't expect payment, but a sincere "thanks for your help" would be nice every once in a while!
