I will post pics in a lil bit but I wanted to start this thread about my 37 gallon kinda reef tank
Specs:
Lights = 2*96 PC Novas
Koralina 4
Emperor Biowheel
RedSea Skimmer... piece of ---- i know
70 lbs of LR
2 bags (maybe 30lbs) LS
Fish:
Fuzzy Dwarf Lion
Pygmy Angel
Rabbit Fish
Mandarin Dragnet
2 x Saddleback Clowns (Male and Female)
2 x Blue and Yellow Chromis
3 peppermint shrimp
Purple Sea Urchin
a lot of snails
2 bottles of copods
Large Seabea Anemone
Some other Anemone but much smaller, I think a small condi (much smaller than anythign one i have ever had)
An elephant ear coral that split into 2
This is honestly my favorite tank i have ever set up.. my dwarf lion hides alot which is kinda lame but he (i know its a he from the striping pattern) actually likes swimming around with my manderin while my angel and rabbitfish are like BFF (best friends forever).
I will post pics ASAP

Tru, your tank is 30 inches accross right. The brand of lights are called Nova's, that's awesome I was beginning to think there was no hope for a higher wattage fixture, and I was gonna have to make one myself. This made my day.

You need to get rid of the sailfin tang because it requires a much much larger tank, same goes with the rabbit fish. Your mandarin fish need at least 120+ lbs of live rock because it requires cope pods to survive. I suggest you take your sailfin, rabbit fish, your mandarin fish, and Seabea Anemone back to the lfs. PCs aren't strong enough for a Seabea Anemone. They require high output T-5s or metal halides or it will die a very slow death under PCs.

Jesus pesus here we go again, thanks for the advice but:
1.) its not a sailfish tang its a pygmy angel
2.) the rabbit fish will be fine
3.) the 70lbs of LR will be plenty because I have already dumped to bottles of copods
4.) Just like the last person who said my nem would be dead everyone should know that it is fine! People should learn the truth about this hobby instead of taking the advice of some other idiot who posted an equally stupid hypothesis on here

1.) its not a pygmy angel, its a sailfin tang
2.) a rabbit fish get bigger than 8 inches
3.) 70 might be fine, but they need a very mature reef tank that's been set up for more than a year and a new tank with only 2 bottles of cope pods isn't enough
4.) it will probably die, but it will take a very long time for it to die, around 7-9 months
Check out these links if you still think that sailfin tang is a pygmy angel.

+1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,etc etc...
1.)defininantly a sailfin tang...

2.) Rabbit fish get big and need a lot of room to swim (not quite as much as that sailfin tho)
3.)70 pounds idk if that will work it can take months to a year to notice a mandarin dragonet starving, i do not see how you possibly have 70 pounds in that 37 gallon tank but if it really is that much its still iffy, especially if you do not have a big refugium for it.. you added two bottles of copepods? which what had 200 copepods?? mandarins eat hundreds of copepods everyday so that shouldve lasted it what maybe a week at max if it didnt eat a lot
4.) your anemone already looks bleached to me.. and like coralkeeper said it takes many many months to a year or so for you to be able to tell if an anemone is going to die, kind of like starfish..
*edit* and im somewhat doubting you got 70 pounds in there.. it doesnt look much and your saying you have around 2 pounds per gallon, well i have my 125 set up with around 3 inches of sand so a lot of rock is covered.. and i have around 185 pounds so thats around 1.5 pounds per gallon and my tank looks fuller than yours but maybe you just bought it all live so it was soaked in water making it heavier? 50 pounds of mine was base rock so im sure it got much heavier after putting it in water.. and sorry if you really do have 70 because some rock is just more dense and not as pourous as others..

Don't forget about the Fuzzy Dwarf Lion that's hiding in there somewhere. This tank seems alittle overstocked to me (eventually the cromis will become lunch for the lion helping with the overstocking issue.)

nope dont think that will be an issue... this fuzzy spend his time perching on the rocks and infact enjoys swimming with around with my mandarin....
Secondarily I bought this set up from someone who moved, they had the tank set up for 2 years so my bottles of pods only act to seed it even more
and yes i understand what you guys are saying about the lbs of LR but infact it is all very very dense rock ( not all i take that back, maybe everything minus 2 small pieces)
and sorry to burst your bubbles but it IS a pygmy angel, no question i am 100% sure but if it it makes everyone feel better, once we move to a new building I am having a 125 tank built into the wall

just takes time for the lions to go bad, you may have them for a couple years till they decide to eat one of your fish, they can and will (not sure when) eat any fish that can fit in its mouth..
as to the seeding the tank ya its great you bought them, however i dont think they would be able to multiply that quickly, how long was your tank set up before you added the mandarin? when did u add the two bottles?
lets see closer pics of this "pygmy angel" i would REALLY like to have a pygmy angel in my tank cuz i have a 125 and im still debating on if im gonna have to trade a sailfin tang in once it gets to a certain length.. i am like 99.999999999% sure that is NOT a pygmy angel.. do you have a name for it? cuz there are a few pygmy angels and ive never seen this one before, seriously its a sailfin.. if u have a name for it i want the scientific name too
