37 gallon, kinda reef?

I have a 150 hqi over my 37 and i keep sps. The only thing that sucks is you get a shaded area under the center tank support
. Id love to do two 150s over it though.

I am running PC's right now, and I am very pleased with the coral I can keep with them, LPS, Sofities, Zoas, and Mushrooms. I even have a few yumas and ricordias under them. I think PC's are fine unless you want to get SPS.

i used to think that way until I got a great deal on a mh pendant. the growth and extension is far better than when i had the pcs on my tank

im out of town till monday night, but I just finished building the stand for my 28 gallon custom with refugium and sock filter so once I get back on mon. I will finish the plumbing and paint the sides and then move my clowns, chromis, urchin, mandarin, over to that tank...
clean up the old one and get rid of both those fish and make the 37 an agressive with my lion and an eel

That sound better to me...
BTW, If you are building a FISH ONLY tank, you may use PC's without a problem... Use the MH's on the reef!

I was thinking a nova t5 set up? any other thoughts? the biggest thing for me is cost of the fixture and i cant find a MH set up that beats the 150ish for my novas (likem or not I think they are great for the price)

If you dont get the pro then it is pretty much the same as PC if you ask me.

ok thanks... I just got in touch with a guy breaking down his tanks, yes plural.. and he is selling 2 MH retrofit setups... Son of a B*tch this means more wood working... but their both 250watt, one has a variable ballast so i could turn it down a bit... o for 175, so i figure with wood and screws ill be spending about another $30 MAYBE.. so to get 2 MH setups for less than $200 i think is a steal
